There are many wonderful venues here in southern West Virginia, but Athena Farm is one of my favorites! I always know that the day will be stress-free and beautiful!
I was so excited about this wedding. Hannah and Daniel had to reschedule, but it appeared to make the day that much sweeter.
To add to the excitement of the day, we had the privilege of taking photos of the new Estate House! The Estate is incredible!
I spent the entire week praying for sunshine for their wedding. I prayed for that dewy light that makes photographer dreams come true! Sadly it rained on and off all day long. Although there was rain, it didn’t spoil Hannah and Daniels’s happiness.
During the ceremony, I realized what a blessing the rain was! It was just barely misting, but between the mist and clouds, it created the most even light throughout the entire ceremony. I had no trouble with harsh lights or sunspots, which I love!
This wedding was one of the coldest May Weddings I have ever photographed. If you look closely at the photos, you can see goosebumps on Hannah’s arms. However, she, or the bridesmaids, never once complained the entire day. They all giggled and smiled as they enjoyed the joyous occasion. I am so blessed I got to be a part of this wedding. I enjoyed every moment I got to spend with this sweet couple; they are so special.
