I know as photographers we sometimes panic at the idea of a church wedding. You never know what light scenarios you will encounter and you always fear the possibility of zero natural light. However, Kaylee and Cody chose a beautiful church to have their ceremony.
The church foyer had windows crossing the entire entrance. Alissa and I were able to get all the bridal details with the most perfect diffused light.
As I greeted Kaylee and the Bridesmaids they were so welcoming to us. I am not joking when I say she chose an incredible group of ladies to be by her side. I literally spent the day bragging on how amazing her MOH was. These girls made sure the day ran seamlessly!
I try to greet the groom as early as possible on wedding days. You never know what emotions you will get from him but lets face it, they make for pretty pictures 😉 It was so sweet that Cody was so excited! He was calm but joyful. He actually reminded me of my kids on Christmas Eve night. Just patiently awaiting all the glory to come the next day.
One of the best moments of the day is when Kaylee showed me her “Groom Book.” Cody mistakenly wrote his letter to Kaylee in his book, rather than the one to Kaylee. Kaylee was so sweet she just went with it. I love little details like this because they make the best memories years down the road.
The Church was surrounded by the prettiest fall foliage. There was orange and yellow in every direction. After last years dry season I am so happy this year has been so beauitful. You can see the beauty of Gods creation in each and every image.
Kaylees Bridals were some of my favorite of the year, she is gorgeous! She is so sweet, it was such a blessing to be able to spend the day with her. I am thankful for this wedding, I am thankful for such wonderful people, my hearted needed it.
