I actually did not know Madison and her mom until I shot her first senior session this summer at Babcock State Park. But since then she has grown to be one of my favorite people to photograph.
My favorite thing about Madison is she unapologetically herself! When I was her age, I think I was more worried about what others thought of me; I was never truly myself. If I could offer any advice, at all, BE LIKE MADISON! Own who are you and be totally proud of it! Years down the road you will be happy you did. I mean who wants to be like everyone else, right? 😉
Every Winter I have many clients who want Winter Session but don’t actually brave the cold! Moreover, catching a day with pretty snow and making both schedules match isn’t always the easiest. Madison and her mom are always amazing to work with! We got a day with snow and the temperature was perfect!
Being that I am from West Virginia sometimes we get wet, heavy snow. This type of snow is not ideal for photos to say the least. When I say the conditions were perfect, I mean perfect.
It was such fun her mom, sister, and pups joined her for a couple of photos. I was so impressed the puppies actually sat still and looked!
Would you believe if I told you these photos were taken behind my sister’s house? She has the best row of Pine Trees, and if you have ever looked closely, pines with snow are gorgeous! There is something so appealing about the deep green, sprinkled with white snow.
I was a little worried once we arrived at the first location more snow had melted than I anticipated, but luckily the shade, gave us plenty of options. I think I say this every time I shoot Madison but I love her serious face, it is fierce! She also has a beautiful smile! I can’t wait until her spring session coming soon, because we have big plans! 😉
Stay tuned for a gorgeous couples session coming soon! It happens to be her sister and her boyfriend and their photos are epic!
I LOVE THESE!!! You truly are amazing at what you do!
Thank you Melissa for making Madison feel so comfortable and for capturing her beauty!
