After shooting well over 100 weddings, I still get nervous about photographing each wedding. I hold in my hands the memories of my couple’s wedding day. That is a big responsibility, and I do not take that lightly. But when your client is also a Wedding Photographer, your anxiousness is even more significant.
The moment I walked into the reception area, I could tell that a photographer had designed it. Each and every detail was soooo picturesque. The pallet was clean with just the perfect touch of color!
Elyse was such a classic Bride; she was so lovely in white. It was as if she glowed the entire day. Her joyfulness just emulated in any room she was in.
One of my favorite moments of the wedding day was the gift exchange. Ryan was so excited to give Elyse her gift. He opened the box to provide Elyse’s sister with the gift to deliver to the bridal suite. He couldn’t stop smiling.
It was hard for my eyes not to become full of tears as he read bits and pieces of what his beautiful bride had written for him; his smile grew with each passing word.
The ceremony site was brilliantly decorated; the florals created a gorgeous walkway for Elyse to ascend down. The Chapel was quaint and exactly where Elyse dreamt of getting married.
While the snow fell and the wind blew, there was so much peace throughout the day. The cold, the wet, the snow, nothing could have overshadowed the love that filled the Chapel.
These two have such a heart for Jesus; they don’t even need to speak it; you can see it. You can see it in their actions, behavior, and, most importantly, their love for one another.
I can say without a doubt in my mind this wedding was blessed. Elyse and Ryan are two amazing people who are using their love for Jesus to share his love with the world. I can’t wait to see what adventures the Lord will lead them on. I pray they have a blessed marriage with so much joy it will be hard to contain.
