I literally do not know where to begin with this wedding. Adam and Melissa’s wedding was one of my favorites to date! I feel like she and I meshed so well we could be friends in real life!
I anticipated this wedding all year long. Having an incredible couple and being able to shoot at one of my most favorite wedding venues is a recipe for success.
This was also the first time the Bride and I shared a name. I was a little cautious that this may create confusion, but it didn’t at all! In fact, my assistant is named Alissa, so there were a lot of “issa’s’ this day!
When we arrived at the Bridal Suite I was so excited to greet Melissa, this girl is a DREAM Bride! Melissa has a heart of gold, she is truly a special person. If you follow my page you know I LOVE some cute wedding shoes, and hers were insane! They were so perfect that they matched her veil! As you can see below I may have gone a little overboard on the shoe photos but I couldn’t stop myself! And while I am on the topic, her dress was gorgeous; the lace was so beautiful.
When we went to greet the groomsmen, Adam, I was so excited to finally meet him in person! Let me just brag on him for a second. This groom is a gem! Adam is so sweet and thoughtful that he text me before the wedding to tell me that Melissa may be a little nervous and to take care of her! His thoughtfulness blew me away; how much he must love his Bride.
When Adam read her letter he had to step away for a moment to catch his composure. From that moment you could see how he truly feels about Melissa. There was no doubt these two were made for one another.
The first look was one of my favorite moments of the wedding. After the initial reaction, Adam circled his bride to admire her in all her beauty. They also shared a prayer and placed their heads upon each other and closed their eyes. This was also one of my favorite photos of the day.
The ceremony went flawlessly and I could see so many happy tears from the family as the two share their vowels. I even snuck the sweetest photo of Adams’ mom wiping a tear from her eye.
We were able to capture more portraits during this wedding than I ever have! While we were taking the “just married” photos of Melissa and Adam, the videographer, Rob Atha, suggested that they just “canoodle.” This instantly sparked a set of beautiful candid portraits! They giggled, they snuggled, they laughed, Melissa and Adam just enjoyed holding on to one another.
These two share a love for Jesus and a love for one another. I pray God will bless them with an abundant and happy life. Melissa and Adam are so deserving of all the love and happiness in the world.
